AMP Associates is a consulting firm who develops long term relationships with its clients. No one knows your business better than you do! Therefore AMP concentrates on understanding your business activities as well as you do. The first stage in any relationship is to understand what you currently do, and the way in which you do it! The second stage is to understand how you envisage your business will operate in the future. Only after these two essential pieces of knowledge have been captured, can AMP Associates recommend how to improve your business processes and procedures.
Consulting firms are perceived as organisations that walk in, takeover, and do it for you! This is not the case with AMP Associates; we do it with you, not for you! A trusting relationship develops whereby we become part of your organisation. You have more time to spend on supplying your business products and services to your customers, whilst we concentrate on improving the effectiveness and efficiencies of your business processes and procedures. We streamline your business and take away your pain at the same time!
Everyone likes to be involved, everyone likes to have their opinions heard, everyone likes to be part of the family, and everyone likes to secure their degree of ownership of proposed new working practices! AMP Associates fosters these attributes to engender the “Buy in” of all staff concerned! A major critical success factor with any IT related project is to ensure that all staff “Buy in” to the proposed changes in working practices. Communications, keeping everyone informed is another key success factor of a project. Everyone must understand their individual role within the project prior to commencement.
The AMP Associates has developed a ten point plan to ensure the successful commencement of a Project:-
1. Understand existing processes and procedures within the organisation
2. Formulated ideas for improving existing processes and procedures
3. Gain Senior Management approval for proposed improvements
4. Produce a proposal document which clearly outlines the recommended improvements (specify nature of improvements, which staff to be involved, staff roles and responsibilities, detailed deliverable, time line, and detailed costs)
5. Formal acceptance of proposal by client
6. Develop a detailed plan of action (Project Plan)
7. Communicate plan of action (Project Plan) to all staff
8. Engender “Buy in” of all staff
9. Produce a Quality Handbook by which to measure the critical success factors of the project
10. Monitor and measure progress of project, feedback any occurrences which may affect the project time line or deliverables, and re-plan accordingly
All AMP Associates employees have honed their respective consulting skills during many years spent in IT consulting and systems integration with Blue Chip clients. We have Blue Chip industry experience, but we don’t charge Blue Chip Consulting fees!
